People with certain characteristics make good leaders. People who are honest, confident, and those with good communication skills make the best kind of leaders. All of these traits are important because leaders need to get through to people they are working with and they need to have a positive impact to make the best work environment possible. To be an effective leader honesty is key. When talking to colleagues or clients, the leader has to raise the bar and set better standards. For the people to go along with what the person in charge has to say, he has to be trustworthy. While speaking the leader needs to emphasize his/her core beliefs and values, this person should also be 100% genuine in everything they say and do. When the leader is talking to the people what he/she is saying is a complete reflection of themselves as a person. When addressing a crowd you have to be confident. If giving a speech and you stumble upon something you aren’t certain of, the leader needs to make sure it makes sense and is confident when presenting the idea to help make other people believe in it and you. In the workplace setbacks are natural, but your colleagues, clients, and employees take the cues from you. Having a worrisome squad is bad, which is why the person in charge needs to boost the team's morale. Do you like to talk? If you are a leader you need to have good communication skills. The person in charge has to be very articulate to make sure that the people understand him/her. Having an open door policy is great it can allow employees and/or colleagues to talk to you on a daily basis to help work out issues or to just catch up. The person in charge should be able to relate with everyone on some level and should be able to have some type of conversation.
