Organizational Structure and Culture Samantha Riley University of Phoenix NUR-492: Senior Practicum: Leadership and Management Kathryn Johnson April 2, 2012 Organizational Structure and Culture Organization structure is the framework used by an organization to develop a chain of command, communication lines, and distribute duties among employees of the organization. The structure also defines the approach an employee is to use when delegating power and responsibilities and identifies the order in which information is communicated between different departments, management, and senior leaders. The structure chosen by an organization depends on the objectives the organization wishes to achieve (Business dictionary, 2012). This paper will examine the organizational structure of the facility I currently work for, Covenant Medical Center. How structure creates an environment that is supportive of client-centered care will be discussed along with the use of information systems, communication methods, and decision- making within the organization.

This is because promotional mix promotion is the way in a business makes its products known to the customers, both present and potential. For example, the companies I have chosen River Island And Tesco both alert their customers about new product like send them emails or texts they only send email if subscribe to their website and the for Tesco as well, but Tesco send letters out to their customers who have a club card.

40 years of experiential knowledge that has shaped her beliefs and actions, is shared in such a way that similarly to Ikuko Tanaka's experience with the head baker, "they have become part of my own tacit knowledge base" (Harvard Business Review, p. 28, 1998). This knowledge then goes from tacit to explicit as I am tasked to create a syllabus and teach a class within the ministry's institute. As a consultant working for an organization that develops proprietary software and sells it to government, state and educational facilities, daily usage of an internal shared Knowledge Base requires that tacit knowledge is communicated by the product development team as support issues arise. This knowledge is then made explicit as the information becomes a permanent part of the KB. "Tacit knowledge tends to reside within the heads of knowers, whereas explicit knowledge is usually contained within tangible or concrete media."
