The Federalist Papers were some of the most influential papers of American history. He wrote the most famous of the Federalist Papers, Federalist Paper 10. This specific paper is about factions and how he was opposed to them because he thought they would tear apart the unity that held the states together.

The authors were; James Madison, Alexander Hamilton and John Jay, while “Hamilton wrote about fifty of the essays; Jay, restricted by illness, wrote only five; and Madison contributed the balance. Madison wrote the three most influential essays: Papers 10,14, and 51” (Montgomery). Not only did these papers serve a purpose to ratify the constitution, it also lets us know important political issues dealing with a proper self-government.
