Explain how it was used and where. When Europeans decided to come to America it wasn’t for nothing, there were motives that persuaded them to settle in America. They wanted a better life and when they came they did their best to take advantage of their surrounding resources of the colonies they resided in to produce different economic systems in the north south and middle colonies. During all of these there was indentured servitude and slavery in certain areas. The main motive that pushed the Europeans to migrate to America was the search of a better life, one free of troublesome, one with religious freedom and one that they can succeed in.

As shown above Vargas had a huge task to tackle. Under those circumstances, he worked towards pursuing his career hoping this would have a positive influence in his legalization status. It is evident that in America, many illegal immigrants may become valuable members of today's society as professional entrepreneurs, artists, writers and politicians, making great contributions to the countries success, though this make it difficult to evaluate the long term societal effects of illegal immigration. Jose Antonio Vargas projects to be one living the "American Life” under his illegal status. The fact was Vargas was as an "undocumented immigrant" living in the United States but his optimistic attitude led him to see his difficult situation as an opportunity.
America is one of the most diverse countries in the world because so many people immigrated to the United States in the past in search of new opportunities. Immigration is the action of coming to live permanently in a foreign country. People from all over the world travel to the United States for a better life. Without diversity, the United States would not have the culture it does to this day. America needs immigration because immigrants help to develop new ideas, a diversity of culture, and they founded and helped to create the United States.
He has made color, race, and religion not come to ones mind when one has stepped in the same room as a colored, or different raced individual. He has given everyone the freedom, and justice that they deserve. From that day forward would racism no longer occur throughout the world. After all his hard work, and his ways of changing everyone’s point of view on justice, had he known he was sacrificing his life. As educators, we are influential in the development and outcome , of bringing each individuals unique talents and knowledge forth, without bias. One of the most detrimental effects on education was segregation, and discrimination of innocent youth. As with people with disabilities, “colored” or blacks were looked down upon. As Sumner asserted ,”that segregation gave all blacks a “peculiar brand”, a clear and lasting “stigma” that deprives them of these helpful animating influences.... It widens their separation from the rest of the community and postpones the great day of reconciliation which is sure to come!” (pg 166).
D’Souza acknowledges that while there are many materialistic gains to be made in the American society the desire for immigration and the commonly held views of America has a more prominent reason, the American dream is a dream based on freedom. It is not necessarily a literal freedom from oppression but a freedom of choice, a freedom to create one’s own destiny. D’Souza’s most powerful and agreeable argument is that the Americans simply have a better standard of living in comparison to most countries. In many countries throughout the world living conditions cannot be changed. No amount of hard work or experience can change something that you were born into.

Different groups of people behaved in different types of ways depending on where they came from, who they were, and how old they were. While the initial transform in work environment, caused by modernization, started the changes in work ethics; beyond that it was the factors that were unrelated to industrialization that had the long-term influence. It’s important to remember that the years between 1815-1919 weren’t just heavy in industrialization, but also in immigration. Many new people from other countries were arriving in the United States and the brought there unique cultures with them. Industrialization shouldn’t be the only aspect that receives credit for controlling work ethics in America.
There will always be people who feel a way about African Americans, or any race for that matter. It hurts. I am a person who is very loving and feels like everyone should just learn to not hot and not discriminate but sometimes that’s just life and you have to deal with it. It’s amazing how much white influence has impacted my grand mothers life down to her name! I couldn’t believe her mom named her Jane just because that was hat her plantation owner told her to do.
