Global corporations such as Samsung and Apple are thriving in this environment. Innovation, brand, corporate culture, marketing and leaders are the key factors that influence the Smartphone industry. Innovation is an act of discovering new ways of creating value. It serves as the lifeblood of many organisations whose growth and survival depend on developing new technology, products and services. Brand is a name, term, sign, symbol or design or a combination of these elements, intended to identify and differentiate the company’s products from those of the competitors in the minds of the subjects concerned (Ormeno, 2007).
