Competency Statement III To support social and emotional development and to provide positive guidance, I will supply children with an emotionally and physically safe and secure environment in which they will thrive, being able to develop their own sense of self. I will do this by smiling and greeting all children and their parents each and every morning. I will always address each child by their name. I will make sure every child gets some one on one attention when I can express appropriate physical touch and enjoyment in them being in my classroom. I will get to know each child, establish relationships with parents, and support their strengths as well as their needs.
There are always going to be rules for the safety of the class and dance classes are no exception. When I teach Kizomba, I need to first create a safe place for my classes. Health and Safety rules are covered by the risk assessment done on arrival, i.e. clear floor space, no obstructions, clean toilet facilities etc. I would also establish a system whereby my students complete a record card or form detailing name, contact information and any other relevant information such as medical needs.
Lab safety is a number one priority in my class. I hope to have various hands-on activities and I would be very disappointed if a student could not participate in the experience. Please do your best to follow the rules and prevent unfortunate consequences. Welcome to Mrs. Smith’s class. Print Student Name: ___________________________________________________ Please read and initial by each statement: _______ I have read and will follow the above agreements and rules as set
A Journey Amongst Friends I was fortunate enough to go to nursing school with my best friend Harley. We had gone to school since Elementary school. I knew that if we did it together that I would make it to graduation. I was right we did make it to graduation. We had some difficulties and it was a very stressful time in our lives, but we made it.
If you are considering course withdrawal because you are not earning passing grades, confer with your instructor or a counselor as early as possible about your study habits, reading and writing homework, test-taking skills, attendance, course participation, and opportunities for tutoring or other assistance that might be available. Beginning Fall 2007, the State of Texas imposes penalties on students who withdraw/drop courses excessively. Students are limited to no more than SIX total course withdrawals throughout their educational career at a Texas public college or university. Students are encouraged to review the HCC 6 Drop Policy. To help you avoid having to withdraw from any class,
Classroom Management, Engagement, and Motivation Western Governors University Task 2 Part A1. Positive Social Interaction Someday I would like to run a second grade classroom. I think that Scenario 2 might work best with my students. The first thing I noticed was that the homework policy was announced and explained to the class, at the beginning of the year. Also, handouts went home to parents explaining the policy.
I believe this would help me because it helped me open up and not be afraid to make sure the rules were followed, class ran smoothly, and everyone was safe. In my residential hall I got to know my peers that I live with. At peacock we have became a family. We go out and have fun together and help each other when needed. I am comfortable with lending my materials to them because I know I will receive them back like I gave it to
Mindsets In the nonfictional book, “Mindset” written by Carol S. Dweck, she mentions that students get fixed mindsets. There are many ways to cause a student to have one because students may tend to take what parents, teachers, etc… say seriously. She also says that most students get their mindsets from the transaction to a junior high. Students with a fixed mindset will always have bad grades, and the fact that they will always try to blame someone else. A student’s mindset comes from negative labeling from parents or teachers, or stereotypes based on race and class.
Behaviour policy is a guideline for all staff on how pupil’s behaviour should be managed. It is paramount that we constantly enforce this policy to ensure full safety for the children; all staff must be familiar with this policy. Anti-bullying policy explains to
Recognizing that at the end, hard work pays off and you can appreciate that experience that was important to you. Entering into high school, the only thing that seemed important to me was Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC). I instantly fell deeply in love with the program and all the foundations that it instilled within me. The reason for being interested into getting into the program was from my mom. Also, I enjoy
