In the first experiment, water quality was examined using a soil filter. In the second experiment the filter used was a combination of sand, activated carbon, gravel and alum. The third experiment tested tap water, Dasani bottled water and Fiji bottled water for their levels of chemical contaminants. Tests suggest that water contamination is happening and that all bottled water is not equal. Introduction Water is one of the most valuable resources on this planet, if not the most valuable. Humans, animals and plants all require water for survival (Turk & Bensel, 2014). There is a very small percentage of water on Earth that is fresh water and a majority of that is locked in glaciers. The water cycle is a long process. Evaporation occurs from water stored in oceans and other large bodies of water (Turk & Bensel, 2014). People, businesses and other occurrences cause runoff, which contribute to pollution of those waters sometimes contaminating the water. The next part of the water cycle is evaporation. Then, water is stored in the atmosphere (Turks & Bensel, 2014). Water is reintroduced into our atmosphere by rainfall and precipitation and then filtered into the ground and eventually discharged back through the original source (Turk & Bensel, 2014). Much of the water humans are using globally is not being replenished fast enough (Turk & Bensel, 2014). According to some research done by Argall and posted in Marketwired, most water is a non-renewable source and
