Unit 5 – P1 Define key terms associated with a healthy lifestyle Fitness Having a healthy lifestyle doesn’t only affect the way you look or feel it affects four key terms, these are your fitness, health, well being, nutrition and lifestyle. If you are trying to lead a healthy lifestyle your fitness is probably the most important thing to work on. Working on your fitness will ensure your using and working your body to the best of its ability which will benefit you in the long run. To improve your fitness you don’t have to necessary go for two hour runs everyday all you need to do is simply boost your levels of general daily activity, doing this can have a massive improvement on your health and energy. Your fitness is important because it has a major affect on your way of life.
Iron helps blood to carry oxygen, a lack of this causes anaemia. Calcium helps build healthy strong bones and teeth. Vitamins:- there are many diseases caused by the lack of vitamins even thou only a small amount is needed by the body. Vitamin A helps to maintain healthy skin, growth and good vision. Vitamin B helps the release of energy from other food and is good for the nervous system.
I could modify my diet only if I quit working, seriously. I can take my lunch each day and within it I would include fruits and vegetables. My health is important to me, I do exercise but exercising with not having the correct amount of nutrition intake is basically a waste of time. I am planning to start the Food Planner exercise to help me with daily nutrients I am lacking. You would have to reduce your calorie intake, however it is not a drastic calorie change as in most diets. It is a permanent weight management program instead of a diet that you use only for a temporary weight loss. I plan on living a much healthier and fulfilling life. I am the only one that has the power to change my life and thanks to this class I now have the knowledge and tools that I need to live a much healthier lifestyle. I just need to utilize them. I want to live as long as I can and be healthy so that I can play with and enjoy my grandkids. Being healthy will only increase my happiness and being happy is important to both my mental and physical well being.
Food Journal Analysis In this paper I am required to take note of everything you eat for a whole day, what then is required to follow. She also has a strict plan for yoga, workout and weight training. In fact, she does not eat more. Instead, Sarah has many small meals to fill up her energy all day long. There are not many people who can follow her diet schedule because of their strict work time. They cannot just stop and eat meal while working in official hours, so it seems not to be an appropriate plan to keep people healthy.
