Universities should offer more distance learning courses to accommodate the needs of students. In my opinion, universities should offer more distance learning courses. Many students are young and do not realize the value of education. Therefore, it is up to the universities to connect with open source learning platforms to help students learn the lessons online and realize the value of the material. TIME: In today’s world, many people have a lot of demands on their time scheme. Some students work voluntary, hold part-time jobs (to pay for university fees) or pursue a hobby. All these things make it difficult to attend university. However, education is a valuable thing, and everyone should have access to it. If universities offered more distance learning courses, more people could find time for an education. INFORMATION AND PATH: Everyday students are bombarded by extraneous information; hence, students are not able to find a path through the disorder, as well as they are inferior due to information asymmetry. It is very important for students to become independent, and online courses in daily use can affect the level of independency. For example, digital natives who are not allowed to pick their field of interest may believe that someone else will always make important decisions for them. This belief could make digital natives unmotivated on their career, which would have a negative effect on their development. GEOGRAPHIC, FINANCE, AND EDUCATION: Actually, it is harmful to students if they are not allowed to choose their fields of interest because of educational, financial, and geographical reasons. Another reason why I believe that universities should offer more online courses is that many students are familiar with the new communication media.
