Bravery, Resilience, Survival of Louie Zamperini Laura Hillenbrand is an amazing writer and the “New York Times bestselling author of the book SEABISCUIT.” After the success of the book SEABISCUIT Hillenbrand decided to write about a guy whose life is all about surviving, bravery, and resilience. According to James D. Hornfischer “Ms. Hillenbrand says that she happened across Mr. Zamperini's story while researching her previous book, the best-selling "Seabiscuit," when she noticed an article about him among her clippings about the racehorse. Laura Hillenbrand decided to write about Louie Zamperini.” Unbroken is a book about the young guy, who goes out to fight in the World War II and Hillenbrand tells us the story of how he survives on the Ocean for forty seven days and how he survives in the Japanese torture camp. The title of the book is “UNBROKEN: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption.” The book was released in the year 2010. Hillenbrand’s book has vivid writing style and she tells us the story in amazing way without describing him as a hero in the book. The major focus of the book is on Louie Zamperini’s character. Zamperini is described as a brave, resilience, strong, fast, and one of the survivor of the World War II. Unbroken is a story of the young guy’s childhood to survivor from the World War II. Louie Zamperini’s parents were an immigrant from Italy and his father was worked at railway track as an electrician and his mother was a house wife. Louie had an older brother name Pete, who was twenty months older than him. As a child Louie was not afraid of bullies, punishments, getting in trouble, and he always believed there he is able to everything in this world (7, 10).
