Tropical Park is one of Miami Dade County’s finest parks. The park has many amenities, activities and programs. There are something’s that I would add to improve the future for the park. Tropical Park has many things families can enjoy doing together, but it is also missing things that could help improve your experience at the park. Tropical Park opened as Miami Dade County public park in1979 on the grounds of the former Tropical Park Race Track which had used the land since 1931 with 275 acres of land. The park as many amenities from baseball fields, basketball courts, concession buildings, tracks, dog park, nature trails to even facility rentals for parties and celebrations. Many of the activities that families can enjoy are baseball, basketball, soccer, fishing, and even having a picnic. The park also has four lakes which is perfect for paddle boating and freshwater fishing. There is also an enormous hill perfect to lay back and watch the sunset at night. There are play grounds and swing sets for the children. One of the major programs that the park gas is the Youth Sports League which is perfect for kids of all ages in order to improve their team building skills. Tropical Park also hosts more than 36 shows a year which include hunter/jumpers, Western style, Paso Finos, and even many horse shows that come to strut their stuff and pick up ribbons and trophies. The park also has a full-sized rodeo perfect for competitions. Tropical Parks also hosts one of the biggest holiday events that many kids enjoy Santa’s Enchanted Forest every year during the holidays. The annual event features six million lights, a giant Christmas tree, hundreds of games and rides, and many shows that families can enjoy together. Tropical Park is perfect for kids of all ages.
