Absurdism in The Strangers In The Stranger Camus expresses his philosophical view on absurdism. Is there an alternative meaning to life other than to just live it? The Stranger’s Mersualt has a clear answer to that and no there isn’t. The meaning to life is life. Based on Camus take on absurdity, The strangers defines an absurd life as a good, and meaningful life. A life without believing in rationally. Mersualt if forced to reflect on life constantly and life’s meaning. Are absurdists condemned to live life senselessly? Meursault’s explanation for murdering the Arab, are they even rational? Can they be justified? Meursault view his crime as something that just happens like any normal event in life. The only things that truly matters to Meursault are the physical realities going on around him. He enjoys the physical aspect of life such how the sun feels on his skin, the tasted of a good coffee in the morning, feeling Marie’s hair
