The Mystery of Tutankhamen’s Death Myron Harmon World Cultures I Gail Gregory 01/30/2013 Introduction Tutankhamen, the boy king, is one of the world’s most famous pharaohs. Since the discovery of his tomb by Howard Carter in November of 1921, the world has been fascinated with this young Pharaoh. One of the greatest mysteries surrounding the young Pharaoh is why he died as such a young age. Many theories abound about how Tutankhamen died. Two of the most popular theories are he was murdered or he died of an injury. Murder One of the most popular theories of Tutankhamen’s death is he was murdered by someone close to him.
