The most important right that children have is... A right is something that everyone deserves, no matter their culture, race or beliefs. We all need rights they ensure we survive develop and they keep us safe. They also ensure that everyone is treated equally and fairly. Rights for children and adults are very different because when you are young you require different things from a grown up. Children have the right to quality medical care, good education, to be loved and protected from harm, to special care for special needs, to be proud of their heritage and beliefs, to make mistakes, to be adequately fed and many more. A responsibility is something you are expected to do because you do it. Also, it’s something you can be trusted with and something you feel confident in doing. Some responsibilities for a child are to listen to others, to look after their selves, to study and respect their teaches, to show love and respect to others, to respect to origins and beliefs of others, to learn form mistakes, to not waste food and plenty more can be said. The United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child is made up of many countries around the world. Before ‘The United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child’ even have existed many countries before hand thought that childhood should be entitled to special care and assistance. So, 193 countries got together and proclaimed that childhood is very important and should be taken seriously. It was formed in 1989. Altogether there are 193 countries, of which could have chosen whether they agreed with the proclamation or not. Surprisingly, there only two countries which did not fully approve of ‘The United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child’ they were Somalia and the United States. Although the United States did sign it on the 16th of February, 1995, they haven’t yet formally approved of it but
