The Life Coach It’s Not You, It’s Me…It Always Has Been Jill stepped on the scale, took a deep breath and then looked down. She let out a frustrated sigh and stepped off. ‘How can I weight more than when I started my diet?’ she wondered to herself. At that exact moment she saw an ad in the newspaper she was skimming through. “Are you tired of trying to lose weight only to find that you have actually put more on?” Yes. “Do you wish you could squeeze into those size 7 jeans that you used to wear in high school?” Well, I never really thought about those jeans, but sure, why not? “Are you looking for support, but don’t have time for meetings and hours at the gym?” Yes. “Well, call Mindy for over the phone support 24/7. She’s there no matter what and she can help you lose weight in just 8 weeks. Gauranteed. (773) 469-2019.” She instantly picked up the phone and dialed the number, although she figured she would just get a cheesy voicemail. “Hello, this is Mindy.” Jill hung up phone. ‘Oh my gosh,’ she thought and then hit redial. “Hello, this is Mindy.” “Hi…I uh…I saw your ad and I was wondering how you can help me lose weight.” Jill let out all in one breath. “Well, I will email you an easy-to-follow diet regimen and workout routine. If you have any questions or if you need any support, you can call me anytime.” Mindy explained. They swapped contact information and pretty soon Jill saw the exercise and diet plan in her inbox. It wasn’t exactly what she was expecting, but she followed the low fat/low calorie diet with six small meals a day and easy exercise routine that she could do at home. After 7 weeks and losing the twenty-five pounds she was trying desperately to lose, she decided to ask Mindy to meet her in person so she could see how much her routine helped.
