Amir was joining a kite runner tournament with his friend Hassan. Before this tournament meant Amir and Hassan were on the street and these men come over and take and rape him and Amir just sat here and watched and didn't know what to do and Amir feels regret for that and so know he think he need to make his father proud of him. This tournament was going to be one of the biggest tournaments held in 25 years. Amir every time he was in a tournament he always wanted to will to make his father proud.
Then he [Ali] would remind us that there was a brotherhood between people who had fed from the same breast, a kinship that not even time could break. Hassan and I fed from the same breasts. Amir, who is the main character in the book, has betrayed Hassan, his friend since birth. Due to the wars that are happening in Afghanistan, Amir and his father move to United States. Yet Amir’s guilty past calls him back to the city of Kabul. He returns to Afghanistan to free Hassan’s new son from the Taliban.
Who has suffered the most in the Kite Runner Novel? The Kite Runner novel is a tragedy story of two boys growing up in Kabul Afghanistan in 1970s. Amir and Hassan who are portrayed as the boss and the servant from the Pashtun and the Hazara nationalities of Afghanistan. In reality they are two brothers from the same father, however this secret keeps hidden until later. Hassan the loyal Hazara servant of the house, who lives with his father Ali in a mud house built by Amir’s father Baba in his two story building house in Wazir Akbar Khan.
On Thursday October 11, 2012 guest speaker Larry Hirsch presented a lecture of his parent’s survivor story as holocaust survivors. Many would have believed that Larry would have spoken of sadness and death surrounding his parent. Instead, he spoke of how their lives came to be, beginning with his mother because she had deceased at a young age. Larry then spoke in detail of his father and all of the accomplishments he had made with his wife. Their story was very touching and could make a believer out of anyone that no matter what struggle you face in life you can still succeed.

The kite runner Change of narrative voice in the kite runner The first part of the kite runner is told to the reader using first person narration through Amir as a young man as he struggles to grow into adulthood faced with his own shame concerning his best friend, Hassan, and his quest to forge a strong bond with his father, Baba. Through Amir's voice, the reader is able to understand the harsh realities of growing up and the pain and guilt associated with the betrayal of one you love: "Kabul had become a city of ghosts for me. A city of hare lipped ghosts. "First person narration provides insight into Amir's heart and soul allowing the reader into the Afghan culture through the eyes of the main character.As the novel is from Amir's point of view, We as the readers could question whether amir is a reliable narrator. The main point is that the majority of the story is told through firs person narrative, the protagonist of Amir.
As young offspring there are places we all believed as our own "safe zone" and evidently we're taught life lessons from the time spent there. My safe zone was the foothills of North Carolina. Smells of sweet Japanese honeysuckle would be the greeting we'd be introduced to each day and the lessons I learned would never be forgotten. Thinking back to the days I was totally free from stress and worries; I was a lucky child to have grown up on a cul-de-sac. It is because of this that he betrays Hassan, and says, “He was just a Hazara, wasn’t he?” (p. 77). Later in life, he regrets this, realizing that love is more important than anything else. Amir gets a chance for redemption when he finds out Hassan has a son, Sohrab. So Amir rescues Sohrab from Assef, adopts him, and takes him back to America. In America, they attend an Afghan party, where a kite fighting competition takes place.
Tom was also an active member of our church, First Purchase, with his family. Tom has always lived a simple life, living his life to the fullest and making the best out of everyday. He loved his wife and children dearly and worked hard to give them a happy life as well. Growing up, my brother always took good care of me.
