The importance of Time By: Kevin Fletcher ENG 0099 Instructor: Denise Parkin September 9. 2011 Introduction Being on time is crucial to many people. It is best that a person be early to an event stop that everything they need to do is straight and correct in whatever there is they need to do. Whether it is for work, school, appointments, military or even church, being on time is a key way to brand yourself positively. Being on time is extended to everything and each culture perceive time differently. Many people think that it is a sign of disrespect if a person shows up late and if you noticed, more and more people are tardy to where they have to go. Why Be on Time? According to selfgrowth.com, the importance of being on time “demonstrates that you are dependable. It indicates that you can be trusted and honor your commitments. It shows that you have respect for other people, and it sets a good example for your children and others who look up to you” (para. 5). Time is the key for successful people. You will be wasting other people time if you are late. There are many people that value their time, and if you are late, they are not going to have no dealings with you because they feel that you are irresponsible. In my opinion, the only thing that is worse than a person being late is the excuse you give for being late. A person should make every effort not to be late. It do not matter rather it was personal or business. Being Late is Bad A person could get in trouble if he or she is always late. Everyone knows that they need to be on time, so there is no real advice on being on time.
