In today’s modern world of sports, major sports event is held in different countries all over the world such as the FIFA World cup and Olympics games, which were the two leading sporting event where countries are very willing to bid and host them. Such as the FIFA 2014 World Cup in brazil which they were the fifth country to have the opportunity to host the FIFA World Cup twice, and also the recent event, the 2016 Olympics which were held in Rio. These major sports event have since brought attention to people from all over the world to visit brazil and cheer on their respective country in the world sports. Major sports event has lent a hand to broaden the knowledge of sports all over the world, also succors in countries culture and social well-being. With the potential growth of benefits that can be extracting from major sporting event that attracts worldwide government, it encourages government to subsidize events by constructing stadiums and arenas to secure high competitiveness and costly bidding procedures to attain the authority of hosting city. Hosting Major sporting events helps to bring in revenue for the hosting country, as this would attract international visitors from all over the world. International visitors can help contribute by their spending during their period of stay for major sporting events, which in turn raising the country profile leading to long term economic benefits for business
