December 3rd, 2011 The Healthy Body “With the exception of nutrition, more fallacies exist in the area of exercise than in any other area of health” (Dintiman, 1984). Working out has become an answer to a healthy human’s body, keeping the immune system strong. Therefore, if the immune system is sturdy, it defends an individual against microorganisms and germs every day. All in all, exercises construct significant physical and mental and social benefits, which are extremely essential to life. The most visible result of working out is the physical appearance of the body. Exercises are in a constant progress of increasing the strength of cardiovascular system. This system consists of arteries, veins and the heart. Therefore, while working out, blood gets oxygenated and then carries a good supply of it to organs in different parts of the body. Also, exercising affects the body’s flexibility, which reduces injuries. While stretching, the muscles are slowly relaxing, allowing the body to rest. Flexibility gives extra strength for the muscles and creates protection for vital organs from infections and diseases. Further more, working out increases mental health, that helps a human’s brain to develop into higher levels of growth. As known, the brain is a thinking organ, which develops its strength by cooperating through awareness and action. Therefore exercises help to protect the brain against cognitive decline. Also, working out increase individual’s self-esteem. While awakening the body, the mind becomes awake as well, which leads to the awareness of one’s self. The human body gains more trust in working muscles, which increases the confidence of an individual the prospective that they look from at themselves.
