If John Lewistreins their staff it means that staff will have more skills and knowledge so wages should go up as well, but government is spending high procentige on NHS and schools so if the government will not pay more money for trained staff they will be looking for another job. Also the business might set higher targets for staff e.g tpo provide the best service to its customers, longer hours, cheaper prices, discounts, offers. More people will be interested. John Lewis is loceted in the hight street so its easy to find
For the people who don’t interact with people well, college will give you the opportunity to enhance your communication skills for the real world. Now there are also people who decide not to go to college mainly because they can’t afford to go. With the economy today, it is extremely difficult to find a job and earn decent money without a college degree. Even though there are people out there who would like to go to college, it really makes things difficult without having some sort of job to cover your expenses. Another reason why people don’t go to college
An article in Startribune informs us about a controversy between the Bloomington neighborhood and Normandale Community College about a parking ramp that Normandale Community College wants to build. Normandale wants to increase its parking space due to 10% enrollment increase and the lack of parking space for students. Each and every year, more and more students enroll at Normandale community college and its big increase of students demand for more parking spaces. The Bloomington neighborhood appealed this plan due to “its impact on surrounding areas” (Startribune). The Bloomington neighborhood is seeking other ways to increase parking space for the College without making an impact on the surrounding areas.
The reason for this split was the incentives of the people who were going to these areas. The people going to New England had a more religious mindset while the people going to the Chesapeake colonies (Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey) were more interested in starting up businesses and making money. The New England colonies had a massive influx of people coming to the region. Most of the people arriving to the New England region were families and some even brought along their servants (Document B). Another thing to note is how most of these families were comprised of very young people.
New laws and regulations come about because of social and political changes. Organizations abiding by state and federal laws and regulations may result in the organization spending more money on additional taxes, new technology development, and legal fees. Competition may consist of the startup of a new organization offering similar services and products in the same marketplace, which presents a new challenge. The customers are the most critical in the environment. As the end-users, they will usually improve the organization’s image in the community because of satisfaction with the product or service, or ruin the image of the organization in the community because of dissatisfaction with the product or service.
The money being used to make pennies could be made for other, more useful, things such as buying supplies for schools or helping the homeless. With the cost of penny making going up, the price of everything else has gone up along with it. Because of the growing and evolving economy, no longer does something cost a penny (Source C). Due to the inconvenience, most cashiers become frustrated when someone tries to pay for something with pennies. Although, by eliminating the penny, prices would either have to rounded up or down, but this could be a “win-win” for both the consumer and the corporate businesses.
The industrial also encouraged a huge migration within countries. Families were moving from the countryside to the city for better opportunities. The industrial revolution produced new social classes. Now people were not both rich and part of the aristocrats lifestyle or extremely poor. The classes were more spread out and
This brought about basic changes in lifestyle of Americans. More people could afford new housing, and many people moved to houses in suburbs, which were bigger and had more open spaces. Movement to suburbs was also partly due to better school facilities for children. * At the end of the decade, the median American family had 30% more purchasing power than at the beginning. Inflation, which had wreaked havoc on the economy immediately after World War II, was minimal, in part because of Eisenhower's persistent efforts to balance the federal budget.
Different teachers would have to hired to teach students to speak English. Other costs include increased racial tensions and the risk of cultures assimilating to one another and not retaining their original identity. If Americans become older then less people would be to work. Because of this, they would require aid from programs like Social Security, meaning younger people who are working would have to pay more taxes. The benefit of this would that if less people are working then it would not be hard to find a job.
This law suit is still in the process of being fought. It is all too common that the poor or needy is neglected and the wealthy is in the spotlight. Education is something that should be equal for all people and the access to not only an education, but a SUPERIOR education should be obtainable for people of all socio economic statues. As the gap between the rich and poor continues to widen, one can expect for education standards in urban areas to continue to decline. It will become more common for teachers to transfer schools after one semester if education budgets are continued to be cut in the WRONG areas.
