This work is unique in that the harpsichord participates in both sections of the orchestra, and it eventually plays a florid and highly decorated solo cadenza in the first movement. It is thought that this concerto may have been written for the two-manual harpsichord Bach was sent to Berlin to purchase for Prince Leopold, and played by Bach as the soloist. The first movement sees the three soloist dialogue with each other, with the harpsichord gradually garnering more of the spotlight with its music becoming more and more complex and decorated. The harpsichord becomes more and more demanding until the rest of the instruments give in and turn silent while the harpsichord gives us one of the best examples of Bach's prowess and improvising skills at the keyboard. The second movement is a gentle song played by the soloists only.
He was a pioneer clarinet maker who was interested in enhancing the range of the clarinet. His first bass clarinet had nine keys and was pitched in B major. This suite, part of a series of four “overtures” (as Bach called them) represent experimenting by Bach, since they resemble a French style music used by Italian-born composer Jean-Baptiste Lully. Suite No. 3, which contains “Air on a G string”, is the most popular of all the overtures. The “Air on a G String” is the brief second movement of this suite. Although the full suite includes trumpets, oboe, and tympani as well as the strings and a bass line usually played on harpsichord and cello, this movement is reduced to the string orchestra only.
However, in bar 114 the texture converts from homophonic to polyphonic. In this bar the bassoons and lower strings play the first subject, while woodwind play a counter melody. This creates a polyphonic, or contrapuntal, melody. Pedals are used frequently throughout the symphony. In the first subject, the main theme is harmonised by a tonic

The concert Mozart’s Requiem was held at First United Methodist Church of Opelika at 6 p.m. on May 1, 2011. It was set in fifteen movements with Latin text and the main focal point of the piece was the vocal music dominating the instruments in the background.
Leading into the A section is the classic waltz tune by the strings. The brass and woodwinds play a call and answer melody, where a clarinet solo replies to the brass calls. The B section is similar; however it is the sting section that takes over the call, and the flutes with a short frilly answer. The C and D section add onto the existing motifs, but including the entire orchestra. This creates a larger sound, which gives a more intense effect contrasting the introduction, A, and B sections.
At first the violin wasn't popular, in fact, it was considered a musical instrument of low status. But by the 1600s such well-known composers as Claudio Monteverdi used the violin in his operas, thus the violins' status grew. The violins' prestige continued to rise during the Baroque period, made more notable by such celebrated figures in music as Antonio Vivaldi and Johann Sebastian Bach. By the mid-18th century, the violin enjoyed a vital place in instrumental music ensembles. In the 19th century, the violins' rise to fame continued in the hands of virtuoso violinists such as Nicolò Paganini and Pablo de Sarasate.
