This destruction occurs when the result of Jimmy’s humor is that his wife, Norma, leaves him for a short while to suffer alone. She eventually returns to aide Jimmy in his final days. Humor also helps him to cope with the other obvious entity in his life which is his cancerous tumor. His use of humor blankets the urgency of his cancer and brushes the issue it under the rug, so to speak. The story is also told in a chronological order that starts at the beginning of the summer where Jane is somewhat “ill” to where it progresses to the end where Jane finally losses her mind. The major differences that we see from the beginning to the end of the story is Jane’s slow slip into this illness and how the love and romantic gesture she believed to be from her husband john turned into somewhat resentment towards him because of how its designed to control her. When Harry was enounced the 'chosen one' and everyone loved him again after two years of everyone hating him, this is where the series goes downhill for the series. He also, out of nowhere, falls for a girl for the most part had little impact on his life, besides the fact she was his best friend's sister. Him being so God like in the last two books, make it hard for me to call myself a fan anymore. Another good example is sadly my favorite T.V. show, Doctor Who.
