Food? What’s food? The definition of food is the nutritious substance that humans consume in order to maintain their life and growth. In old days, people used to consume lots of healthy food, such as fresh vegetables and fruits. Besides, they also prefer to have their meal in home because they know that the food that prepared outside is not as healthy as homemade food. However nowadays, most of the people, especially the youngsters, prefer to have junk food more than the homemade food, and fast food is one of the most common junk food that most of the youngsters love to consume. There are few main effects of fast food that might happen to us if we consume it too frequently. One of the most common effects is consuming fast food too frequently, will put our health into danger. John Cordo (pg1) stated that “Fast Food contains artificial additives and high calories” A research shows that the America's favorite fries, McDonald’s fries used a lot of sodium propionate which is really harmful to our body to prevent bacterial or mold growth. Besides that, fast food also contain lots of fats , sugar, salt and it is really low in fiber and nutrients. This causes the people who constantly consume fast food gain weight easily due to the consumption high fats and calories and less intake of fiber and vitamins. This causes people to get serious sickness easily. In old days, people who get sickness such as diabetes or heart attack are normally elderly but now, a sixteen year old teenager have high chances to get such terrible sickness. Other than that, fast food also caused the bonding between family members become weaker. For example, students prefer to have fast food together with their friends rather than having dinner at home. This is because they feel that, fast food is more delicious than homemade food and they feel fun to have fast food together with their
