Abstract The effectiveness of cooperative learning in the elementary P.E. classroom with emphasis on the English language learners was the intent of this research study. Action research was done by examining student and group conferences, surveys, test scores, assessments, group activities, and literature. This data was compared to similar collections last year of the same students in individual learning environments. The conclusion of this study present evidence that using the cooperative learning teaching method for English language learners is a great asset to any program to increase student performance and motivation in the learning process.
