My friends shop has to constantly keep up to date with the latest changes in the automotive industry. They must do this in order to stay ahead of their competitors and be able to effectively diagnose and repair vehicles in a timely fashion. Innovations in the automotive industry also drive customers to bring their vehicles in to be worked on by automotive shops rather than working on them themselves.
A garage door company is committed in satisfying the needs of customers by providing a variety of quality products. The main objective of a garage door company is to change the perception of garage doors and improve the quality of life. A company should be able to turn its competitive products into profits. A garage company should fuse its marketing strategies with the competitive products in order to develop a competitive advantage in the market. The relevant set of competitive products for a garage company includes; residential garage doors, commercial sectional doors, garage door openers and mini storage doors.
Vehicle manufacturers are able to increase revenue with the sales of hybrids while increasing production to keep up with the demand. How this translates to a rental car company is as an additional source to supply the demand for these fuel efficient cars. Background Lotus Car Rental Corporation is looking into the feasibility of adding alternative fuel vehicles to the rental fleet. Currently, Lotus offers a wide range of vehicles for rental but is wondering if a demand for more fuel efficient vehicles as rental cars exist. Lotus Rental Car wants to reduce expenses and increase their consumer base by adding new fuel efficient and alternative fuel vehicles to the Lotus fleet if these measures would be profitable.
Discriminatory behaviour results in unfair, unjust treatment. It could be done against those who are different with respect to their age, sex, nationality, ethnic background, religion, ability, financial status and size. 1.2 Describe the potential effects of discrimination. For example if someone is getting discriminated for any reason such as age, culture, sex, appearance or many more their behaviour may become negative towards themselves or others.
It is then repeatedly used but often has a damaging effect on the person. This can be identified as being deliberate or intentional behaviour that has a clear, definite or probably negative effect. People are more likely to have a self-defeating or destructive manner when either there are threats made to their egos or when they have low self-esteem. When people have low self-esteem they are more likely to be susceptible to having depression, anxiety and emotional distress, which are problems that are usually directly related to low self-appraisal. There are many examples of self-defeating behaviours like, being needy, guilty, envious, angry, obsessive, rebellious, addictions, eating disorders, procrastination, controlling, gossiping, self-doubt and depression.

This assignment is a critical demonstration about how Car Giant uses information systems to reach this Competitive advantage. By analyzing its’ external processes using Porter’s Five Force Model we can observe its by keeping price leadership, maximizing the products (in matters that the customer can find any type of car in one place), doing an intensive distribution strategy and finally using its awards, long term history and reputation to become more trust worthy for the customer.
