The Beatles were an iconic rock group from Liverpool, England. The 1967 album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band” by the Beatles is a well put together concept album. The Beatles came up with a concept of making up a fictional band and have themselves portrayed a character in the band. The thirteen songs flow into each other making it a nonstop story and an nonstop album to listen to. The first song you hear is “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band” that is made out to be a live performance. Some songs such as “W a little help from my friends” and “Fixing a hole” are faster paced songs. The Album also has mysterious parts like “Being for the benefit of Mr. Kite” which is Erie and has circus type feel to it. “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band” then slows down with soothing melodies like the song “Within you without you” does as well. “She’s Leaving Home” is started with a Harp and joined by a Cello. Listening to the lyrics you can tell it’s about a girl who’s running from home and more so from a parent’s prospective after finding the note she left. This song is appeared to be the “sad track”. “Lucy in the sky with diamonds”, “Mr. Kite”, “Good morning good morning”, “Within you without you”, all have very unique styles and different instruments were used to create these unique styles. The Beatles go from all different styles starting from being a typical rock band using just bass/guitar’s and drums to orchestra instruments such as the harp. It is said that the song “Lucy in the sky with diamonds” was written about an acid trip John Lennon once had. “Within you without you” has a very middle eastern feel to it, it helps get in touch with your spiritual side. In the album you have a few upbeat songs, preferably “Lovely Rita”. Although the song is very upbeat, the temp of beat does not change. Making the song have a simple verse chorus form. “A day in the life”
