| 1. Question : (TCO B) Three-point estimate: The SuperFlyer Corporation is developing a revolutionary flying disc. The new toy can fly straight over a great distance, which is exciting by itself. However, this disc will also return to the owner in response to their voice! Because this is an advance over anything that this company has done before, estimating the amount and cost of the hi-tech materials are difficult.

Aviation in the Roaring 20’s World War 1 sped the creation of aircraft and aviation, in it’s infancy at the time. Airplanes were first built of wood and canvas, but continual improvement in the aviation industry over the first decade of powered flight led to increasing use of metal in the manufacturing process so by the early 1920's airplanes were more reliable and flew longer ranges while carrying heavier loads. This made ideas of passenger and freight aviation a reality. The ability to travel long distances quickly but with relatively light loads made the earliest freight services mail deliveries. Airmen who returned from World War 1 continued aviation by traveling all over the country visiting small towns and showing off their flying skills and taking paying passengers for rides.
Lindbergh (1927) says he replaced the weight of the navigator with something called an inductor compass. This was based on the relation between the earth’s magnetic field and the magnetic field generated in the airplane. He claims “This inductor compass was so accurate that [he] really needed no other guide” (Lindbergh, 1927, p.515). The surprising speed of his plane was another reason why Lindbergh reached Paris with such ease. In the New York Times it talks about out of three pilots that attempted to keep up with him from takeoff, only one was successful.
With technology that runs the life’s of millions, and the constant need to obtain anything and everything without a price, Lao-Tzu would hang his head in shock at the life we have grown so quick to know. There are places in the government and in the life of today that Lao-Tzu would think inadequate for living; however, we must look at what in our life meets his guidelines as well. Modern American society is not perfect. The ways of the world have changed since 6th century BC and life has become much more complicated all the while striving to make things simpler. The way technology has driven the last half of a century has changed life astronomically.
Apart from the social injustices, the progression and good far outweighed the bad. It was two steps forward and one step back while the economic effects were one huge leap forward and a just as big step back. There were more than a handful of inventions and discoveries that revolutionized American society, led to urban sprawl, made tasks exponentially easier, and were the centerpiece for recreation. Cars were mass produced and people decided to live outside the cities and take vacations more frequently. They produced many new jobs with the need for new roads since the American landscape was drastically expanding.
There is an unlimited amount of space above us. If we could make use of this space, we could eliminate traffic. I propose a device that could be attached to our cars, giving them the ability to fly. If memories of the airborne vehicles from The Jetsons are coming to mind, then we’re on the same page. Let’s call the device “The Automobile Air Enabler” or “Air Enabler” for short.
PRELUDE Hello there my name is Marco Andretti; I live in a small town forty-five minutes away from downtown New York. It is the year 2387 and the world is at peace with one another there is no war and there have been multiple breakthroughs in science and technology. One of which is the air board; this is something that allows the user to freely ride the magnetic fields of the planet, thus creating the Air Boarding World Federation (A.B.W.F). A racing league of three member teams competing for a chance to win the World Grand Prix, the teams are comprised of three classes of racers. Speed: racers driven to reach new top speeds every chance they get, Flight: scout racers that take to the skies in order to assist their teammates, Power: bulldozers
3.04- Compare and Contrast essay In the 21st century the world is continuously changing all around us, from the discovery of fire and invention of the wheel to the newest iPhone that's in your pocket. I doubt anything like the way we view freedom from fear will ever change though. In the Four freedoms speech by our 32nd president, Franklin D. Roosevelt, it was said that there are four freedoms that we as Americans hope to achieve, we as Americans must work towards these freedoms for the people of the future. These freedoms include: one, the freedom of speech, which is the first amendment of the Constitution, any where and every where in the world. Two, the freedom to be able to worship god in your own way anywhere in the world.
He said that it would be alright. I could not believe it, I was going to get to ride in an airplane! Keith ran back into the the building and returned with a big leather bag. He opened the bag and pulled out two leather helmets, then he handed me one and put the other one on his head. It was a little big for me, but Keith said that it would do for now.
