Technology Brings More Harm Than Good Technology due to Oxford Dictionary can be defined as the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry. From day to day, our world has been changed gradually from one condition to another. New ideas always come up to the minds of people to make the living better. Nowadays, technology has advanced in tremendous leaps and bounds. We cannot image the world without technological advances. Technology has brought many inventions. Among them are computers, mobile phones, weapons ,cars, aeroplanes, internet and many more. “These inventions have prevented exhausting labour and is now dedicated to trivial conveniences” (Skinner,1991)002E. They have made life not only easier, but also exciting and more comfortable. Nevertheless, some people argue that science can destroy mankind. It is also obvious that we are close on an era where technology is limited only by our imagination. There is a quote from Albert Einstein saying that, ‘It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity’. There is no doubt that science and technology affected our lives. There are a lot of scientists who are working on different science and modern technology projects these days. However, with the new science and technology developments most people underestimate the damage it gives us. I would talk about two aspect which is the advantages of technology and its disadvantages. First of all, I would like to say about the disadvantages side of technology. With these new science and technical appliances people became to be lazy. Here's a quote from Mark Kennedy, saying that ‘All of the biggest technological inventions created by Man-the airplane, the automobile, the computer- says little about his intelligence, but speaks volumes about his laziness’.
