The study concluded self-efficacy and dietary attitude was statistically important variables. Both authors possess a PhD in nursing and cited 61 credible sources. It included 420 children and their mothers. The study was limited because it was studying heart health and by studying only a few regions of Turkey. Even more, dietary interventions for the children was not carried out. The author concluded nurses could play a key in implementing strategies to prevent and decrease childhood obesity by teaching nutritional self-efficacy, attitude improvement and school/family involved interventions for healthy eating habits. I feel this article brings to light the importance of involving each child in their own dietary habits.
