In this paper, I will be addressing the impact of a great figure in musical theatre, a man who made significant contributions in the history of musical theatre, the Russian born and Jewish American Irving Berlin. I will address some important phases in his life. I will start by giving an overview of his early life and family. Moreover, I will be talking about his major initial works as a lyricist and composer as well as some of his major early contributions in musical theatre. Then, I will discuss how he was able to establish significant connections with important entrepreneurs until he became a successful entrepreneur himself.
You could say that was the start of his career as a composer. Menken attended Rochelle High School in his home town and after graduation went to Pre-med school to become a dentist. Lucky for us he later changed his major to music. After college Alen attended the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theater Workshop in New York where he worked at local clubs writing jingles and songs as an accompanist. Alen Menken got his first big break in January of 1979 with Howard Ashman in the Off-Broadway production “God Bless you, Mr. Rosewater.” Three years later he received a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Music in his Off-Broadway Production “Little Shop of Horrors” and from that in January of 1987 Menken was given his first Oscar nomination for a song with in it called “Mean Green Mother from Outer Space.” In 1990 Menken was nominated for three Oscar nominations and three Golden Globe Nominations and went on to win two of each for his work in the Walt Disney production “The Little Mermaid”.
This young designer grew up in an environment where English was the predominant language. Ming Cho Lee studied art at Occidental College in UCLA, and later on went to New York to become an assistant for Jo Mielziner. Ming Cho Lee became America’s foremost scenic designer, and most of his work has been in regional theatres and opera. Lee designed many productions for the Public Theatre and bold, he used structural sets for the Delacorte Theatre in Central Park. Lee rarely did musicals, only a couple of his sets have been seen on Broadway, although he was greatly appreciated and applauded for his startling recreation of a mountain for K2 in 1983.

They have a son and daughter. The Book “The Promised Land the Great Black Migration and How It Changed America,” is a National Best Seller written in 1991. It was published in the Untied States by Vintage Books, a division of Random House, Inc., New York and simultaneously in Canada by Random House of Canada Limited, Toronto .
Early Life and Career Kenneth Irvine Chenault was born on June 2, 1951, in Mineola, New York. His parents worked in a dental office as a dentist and a hygienist. Chenault attended the Waldorf School of Garden City, New York. He graduated from Bowdoin College with a degree in History in 1973. Three years later, he graduated from the Harvard Law School.
While at Yale, he met an author, Thornton Wilder. Before writing, McCullough's interests were politics and art. After meeting Wilder, he was motivated to write and become an author. During his time at Yale, he also met his potential wife, Rosalee Barnes. He later graduated from Yale and moved to New York to work for Sports Illustrated as an editorial assistant.
I will begin my paper with my personal experience with listening to classical music and then I will show how classical music benefits people's life in different ways. I was fortunate to grow up in a family which appreciates classical music, and some of my happiest times when I was young were those I spent at home when my dad was playing his old records. As I recall, Tchaikovsky was the first composer I listened to in my childhood. I listened to Swan Lake during those days. My father was enthusiastic for Tchaikovsky and he is also a fan of the Strauss Family of Austria.
A court musician is an individual that plays for hire. Court musicians usually shared their abilities off during banquets, weddings, and other events. Mozart was among one of the most versatile composers of his time. During his early travels, “he became a master of opera undermining other musicians with his supreme abilities to coordinate music and stage routines” (Music 179). “From 1762 to 1791, Mozart traveled to other countries and nations such as London, Berlin, Munich, and
Bach masterfully combined his technical skills he learned in his childhood with the Italian and French influences to make masterpieces. Bach set himself apart from other composers with his distinctive use of polyphonic texture and rich harmony (Kamien 153). He used motifs, harmonies, and counterpoints in his compositions that have led to him being considered one the best composers of Baroque music and of all time. His compositions are still performed and studied today, showing his importance and greatness in his craft. He constructed wonderful Baroque works with his superb musical skills that he had obtained since childhood.
