The government document Every Child Matters: Change for children 2004 is an important document to read which would benefit anyone working with children. To work and build on positive relationships with children there has to be a good understanding of putting the pupils needs first.
It is important to understand a child or young person in the context of their life and the impact of the transitions they may be going through. This is about different services working together in order to prevent problems from occurring in the first place. It is most effective when organisations and agencies are clear about their own role and those of other agencies. Sharing information in a timely and accurate way is an essential part of helping to deliver better services. It is important to understand issues surrounding confidentiality and when to pass on information.
Children have rights , thoughts and opinions and they are valued. Procedures for schools to follow to ensure inclusion and this links into Special Education Needs and the disability act. Codes of practice gives guidance on how to ensure people of different races and treated equally. Protects children against discrimination focus on inclusion and protects children against discrimination. Gives guidance and support to school staff and ensure high quality service and the best practice possible.

Know the policies and procedures of the setting for promoting children and young people’s positive behaviour. 1.2 describe with examples the importance of all staff consistently and fairly applying rules for children and young people’s behaviour in accordance with the policies and procedures of the setting. The importance of being fair and consistent it is important that everyone in the setting is both fair and consistent when dealing with children’s and young people’s behaviour. When you are fair and consistent in your response to inappropriate behaviour, the child’s sense of security and knowledge of right from wrong will be reinforced.
Above, I stated why the topics should be addressed and how important it is for children to have organizations to help better themselves, by being healthy, social, a developing the skills that they should by having open play and encounter with parents, friends, teachers and families. Next, information was given on how important nurture can be for children. Children receive nurturing through social-emotional development and cognitive growth development. Then we went on to discuss the long-term goals, which I believe that they will excel to the highest extreme. Last, we discussed the effectiveness and showed evidence of how it will be effective.
Children will lear and develop when ether is a friendly environment with people they trust. As a role model gain trust its important ,so children and young people can be confident to talk to you,be confident and focus and develop the selfs. Every child is different so we should adapt the way we communicate to fulfil the individual needs. Assignment 013- Understand Partnership Working in Services for Children and Young People Task A Why is it important for children and young people that you work in partnership with the following people/groups? Parents, carers and guardians This partnership is very important because parents or carers need to trust the nursery and staff that work there. They will expect the best quality of care for their child. Partnering well with the parent or carer of the child will increase good communication including sharing important information regarding the child needs, wants and development. Building trust with parents or carers will result in them knowing that the nursery is a very good place for their child as it offers a great amount of help and support, which is especially important for new parents or carers.
For effective partnership working I need to ensure that communication is clear and this can be formed between a number of organisations, agencies or individuals with a shared interest in the young person. Effective partnership working should be centred around the young person with common goals to be achieved for the best interests in that young person. If I work effectively with partner agencies problems and concerns can be identified early and the right help given in a timely manner. 1.2 Explain the importance of partnership working with: Colleagues It is vitally important to work in partnership with colleagues as they work with the young people in my care on a daily basis.
