Solving Work Issues Using Leadership and Motivational Theories Tanya Fluke MGT 3223 - Management Issues February 17, 2013 Mid-Continent University Solving Work Issues Using Leadership and Motivational Theories This paper will examine two separate organization issues, dealing with management that many professionals deal with in their daily work life. The issues will be identified and then broken apart, then solved through leadership and motivational theories. As the business environment is rapidly changing, our thoughts and ideas must evolve as well. This author will give an in-depth look at how leadership and motivational theories can have a positive impact in the business world. Organization and Management Issues The first issue this author will address is conflict in the workplace. More and more various types of conflict seems to be appearing within the workforce. Some conflict can be between co-workers, others between workers and management. This paper will focus primarily on co-worker conflict and how management can lead their employees into better relationships and motivate them to work towards a common goal. Secondly, change in the workplace will be discussed. Change, many times, is perceived as a dreadful and unpleasant entity; however, change, if dealt with properly can be exciting and can create solutions to problems and even make working more enjoyable. A good leader should be able to create an atmosphere where change is easily accepted and workers are motivated to put a new plan of action into effect. Strategy and Procedure for Addressing Issues The problems with the previously identified are conflict in the workplace and change in the workplace.
