Many people come to fish out of the lake it also has plenty of other wildlife such as alligator, gar and duck and geese during the right times of the year. There are several people who live on the lake and have docks and boats in which they skin and to other water sports. The lake was at a point where pollution was about to take over the lake about 20 years ago but the community stepped in and put in a pumping station that the base of the lake to help with the pollution and brought the lake back to its wonderful
In addition, the time-honored habits of fishing and hunting on which their survival depended were the main aspect for the annual change between seasonal camps up and down the Penobscot River valley (pg 6). From “waterways and the well-trodden trails,” Algonquian hunters could look for food with deer, moose, beavers, muskrats, and they could collect clams and lobsters, speared seals, and porpoises. Another important feature of the Penobscot was their mobility because it was needed for the hunting life. Therefore, they organized into many small groups and the men would make the decision according to the change of the weather. The social activities of Algonquians would change on each season, and “the paper birch tree” was the significant
Trout Lake is located near the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York, surrounded by massive white birch and maple tress, beautiful meadows, and crystal clear water, so clear you can almost see the bottom. It was a place to get away from everyday life, for the weekend or just for a week or two. Trout Lake holds a special place in my heart and I have some really fond memories of spending time there. It's a place where memories are made, like the first time I learned how to swim, the family BBQ'S, sitting around the campfire roasting hotdogs and marshmallow's for s'mores, and holidays, especially the Fourth of July. Spending time at Trout Lake changed my perspective on what the "word" family means.
Iroquois hunted deer, bear, duck and turkey. They also ate turtles, frogs, and bird eggs. They cooked everything they captured. The children like to go hunting and fishing with their fathers. Me and my best friend use to go fishing with her dad all the time the only bad thing about it was that we would get ticks.
They prevent animals (such as deer) from overpopulating the area, which can throw off other parts of the eco-system. They mostly eat medium mammals, such as deer and wild hogs. They will also eat small mammals like rabbits, birds, mice, and even small alligators. Occasionally, panthers will eat fruits and grass, but they are typically carnivores. They are also known to eat farm animals if they have to.
Yet the dropout rate is still high among their youth. On the contrary, the Assiniboine communities enjoy many community services which include a day school, community complex, fire hall, warehouse and a water treatment plant and so on. Like some Assiniboine reserves operates a golf course and multiservice food store and they speak English more widely than the native language. To sum up, the people of the Canadian Arctic are known as the Inuit compare with the original plains people of the Assiniboine. Both Inuit and Assiniboine have its own style of their food, social and political lifestyle, and present-day status.
The first people of the Arctic, hunted walrus and eat dogs when they went hungry, they also hunter caribou and fish in small groups. The Inuit followed the wales, seals and caribou. The technology was a great difference between the native groups. The people of Atlantic Canada for example constructed fish traps, made bows and arrows, they also made spears, clubs and long stemmed pipes. They made birchbark canoes, show shoes and the unique technology of the toggle head spear.
Odin, Loki and Hoenir were traveling together and left Asgard without any food. After traveling far they realized they were hungry when they saw a herd of oxen. They decided to slaughter an oxen and eat it. After cooking the oxen and trying to eat it, the flesh was still raw, so they cooked it again but it was still raw. They heard a voice say “something in the tree is preventing the meat from cooking”, they looked up and saw the frost giant Thjazi in the form of an eagle.
They were very happy to find the codfish, and they knew: this explored action solved so many people’s trouble about food. “The Fisheries about the cod in Canada began in 1497, when John Cabot sailed the Newfoundland and recorded in his ship’s log, the sighting of the abundance of fish.” The historians give this evaluation. The cod fishing in Newfoundland was one of the world's four major fisheries, and there has a legend:When John Cabot dropped anchor off the coast of Newfoundland, his crew reported that they needed only to dip a bucket into the water to catch cod. That’s helped feed the world for centuries to come, in August 1497 John Cabot and his crew backed to London, and people thought he got great fame and glory, but actually he only got £10 for having “found the new isle”, no title and not marked in the history as the second explorer in the world.
