When he comes back he says he was wrong about his uncle, he is not a good man. He tells them that he wants $200,000 and 1500 articles of clothing or he’ll burn down the town. Since Amelia’s Father is the only town official left in town, Josh says that he can’t leave. Amelia sends them into the house while she thinks how they are going to fix everything. As a result the employees slow down work in order get opportunities for overtime. Paul, noticing this, stopped giving out overtime all together. This caused even more resentment toward management by employees. After calling the GM at home and explained the issue I was having he blamed me for ordering the wrong item. I was forced to continue braking down the product and sent the crew home when it was finished followed by canceling Sunday shift. Monday rolls around and I reorder the correct product and they rush the order to be delivered Tuesday 8:00 am. The GM approaches me late Monday morning to explain that he told me the incorrect item number according to his notes taken at the time of the meeting with the GM and the customer. Although not truly apparent until the very end of the novel Grants life has taken a complete turn since the beginning when he refused to help Jefferson. Grant starts out denying the requests of Miss Emma and Tante Lou, he finally is forced into it and is unsuccessful, and then he begins to develop a bond with Jefferson and gets serious about changing his life. Rudy’s chances of dressing for a game were slim to none because Devine was a harder head to crack. After two years already being on the team one of the final games were coming against Georgia Tech and Rudy still hasn’t dressed. By saying this it forces Mr Birling to speak to him and start the conversation. Mr Birling answers by trying to take charge of the situation he does this by at first asking the inspector to sit down and then he starts to try and avoid the subject of why the inspector is actually he says I was lord mayor two years ago and I’m still on the bench he says this almost as a warning and is trying to get the inspector to back off. This causes the other characters in the room to feel uneasy which creates a tense atmosphere, Gerald immediately starts to agree with everything his soon to be father in law says whereas Eric is much more blunt. The inspector puzzles the readers by letting Mr Birling rant on and then acting as though all of Mr Birling’s life achievements are worth nothing. At this point we still don’t know why he is here, but he creates the impression that everyone present is
A sentimental part of the movie, one black child looks at Jackie in awe. To add to the drama of the film, Rachel leaves the game because she feels sick and foreshadows that she might be pregnant. On the evening of the game, a white man warns Mr. Brock that it is best for Jackie to get out of there or else he will face trouble. He takes his advice and takes Jackie out at night and they pass a bar where a group of white men approach them. During another game, Jackie is told by a sheriff to get off the field because he can’t play, but he is defended and later on supported by a white man.
