Do you think movies, television, video games and popular culture in general should be held responsible for violence in society? I believe that movies, television, video games and popular culture in general should be held responsible for violence in society. The reason why I am saying this is because when someone lives on these things and grows up with them, he/she finds them normal actions. For example, when a kid has a video game that let’s him shoots monsters, cops, and cows. He might think that shooting them is normal as he grows up, or when he fights people in the video game, he finds it fun and easy to beat them up. Then the problem lies when he goes to school he believes that it’s ok to fight them just like the in the game. Another example that supports my opinion is when the article mentions the reason for the shooting in Arizona is because the use of these words and images while in bad taste were meant spur public action to vote, not to go out and terminate the other candidate. An example why I believe those things could be a reason for violence in society is my two of brother-in-laws kids. One of them is an open minded person and the other one is very conservative person. When you see their kid’s action, you will definitely think of who is responsible for the kid’s actions. The kids of the conservative brother in-law are only allowed to play games that have some kind of a puzzle and they have to solve it, so you see them very quiet, shy and smart in school, whereas the other brother in-law’s kids are allowed to play any games (their dad doesn’t care and doesn’t know what games they play) so they play games like resident evil and they watch Kong Fu movies, so you see them angry, violent, mischievous and not good in school. In Conclusion, violent movies, games and other things like that can affect the behavior of kids and sometimes adults. The article
