One of the main themes that I think is important in this chapter is “love” this is because Amir and Soraya settle down to a happy marriage. Chapter 13 is really at the mid-point of the novel. This chapter is important for Amir because he crosses from teenage years to adulthood. In a very short time he is married, Baba dies and his first novel is published. Amir meets Soraya and he discovers the “tenderness of a women” we also see that Hassan is never far from his mind, which foreshadows that he will someday agree for what he has done to him as Amir will never really be a man until he shows good
Vivian, Grant’s girlfriend, Paul, a security guard of the prison in Bayonne, and Tante Lou, Grant’s aunt. These characters influenced the book and the main characters. Although I saw Vivian only as Grant’s girlfriend, she was the main reason Grant stayed instead of running off with her. She always told him that he had to stay here because he had Tante Lou to take care of and as well Miss Emma. Vivian also told him that they had to stay because she had her children, but that was not the reason Grant stayed.

College 101 Why I chose to attend college: I chose to attend college because I have wanted to for many years now. I have future plans to make a difference in the world, and for me personally I feel that college is a necessity to achieve this. I want to achieve my own personal goals of getting my Associates Degree from Lackawanna, then continuing on at another school to get my Bachelor’s Degree in social work. I have future plans of becoming a counselor or a life coach, I plan to make the final decision on which one when I have had a chance to practice as an intern; That is how I think I will learn better which one is more suitable for me personally.

I know that you don’t want us to get married, but because we had nothing to do with the starting of the feud. We don’t want to hate each other we just want our families to become friends so that we don’t have to fight anymore and so Juliet and I can get married. It does not matter to us whether our last name is Capulet or Montegue, just as long as we get married. So I believe that we should get married because everyone should be able to be with somebody that they want to love and care about and want to be with forever. Also, we were not involved with the feud at all and we don’t want to hate each other we want to love each other.
While this biographical information may seem irrelevant, it is important in this case precisely because the radical ideas of her parents may give us an idea of the author’s own opinions on the historical events surrounding the setting for her novel. As Warren Montag argues, the novel itself is set in the 1790’s, approximately one hundred and fifty years after the 1642 Revolution in England, which is mentioned in the text (385). Thus, the work itself alludes to revolution and is placed during a revolutionary time. In fact, there were two revolutions going on at this time: the French Revolution, and the Haitian Revolution. The main historical event during the 1790’s was the French Revolution.
Goodman Brown replied, “Faith kept me back awhile” with a scared tremor in his voice. This can be related to how Faith as his belief and Faith as his wife can be used in the same connotation. • Evaluation: Goodman Brown should not have ever gone against his faith or tested his faith. He should not have stepped out on his wife Faith either. After his journey was over he started to question everything around that he once believed in.
The decisions she makes shows us, her desire to improve health and education level, but to also be finally making something out of herself other than just a house wife. These changes she is going through tells us her trying to gain her own independence. The reason for change in Norma’s life is the return of her husband Leroy. After 14 year of trucking Leroy’s injury causes him to come back home permanently, which causes unhappiness to Norma, leading her to say, “In some ways, a woman prefers a man who wonders”(Mason 76). Norma says this towards the end of the story, when Norma is essentially telling Leroy she wants to be alone.
