Owning your own vehicle gives you a sense of pride and often times many people want to upgrade to something better when they are financially able. When that time comes many people try to sell their vehicles on their own. This is because they can get more for it than they would trading it into a dealer. For this reason, it is beneficial to know the steps to selling your vehicle. Three of the most important parts to successfully selling your vehicle are cleaning it, posting it on the internet and showing it off. The first and one of the most important parts of selling a used vehicle is getting it clean and as attractive as possible; this could be the difference between selling and not selling your vehicle. You’re most likely to sell a clean vehicle then a dirty one. To begin the process of cleaning your vehicle, you must collect a bucket, soap, scrubber and some dry towels. Then, fill the bucket with water and mix with one ounce of soap per gallon of water. After filling the bucket, spray down the entire car once with the hose, then scrub the car down with the soapy and rinse as you go. As soon as you’re done with that, you need to use a dry towel to dry of the wet car, before the sun dries it and leaves water spots. The next step is to wax the vehicle. It’s best to do this in the shade. To wax your vehicle you will need a polishing pad and some wax. Take the polishing pad and dab it in the wax and wipe a thin, even layer of wax on all painted surfaces of the vehicle in small, circular motions. Once that is complete, take a microfiber towel and buff it to a nice shine by rotating the towel in frequent circular motions. Next, you should take out any clutter in the interior or the vehicle and also any clutter in the trunk or bed.
