An old woman (who is described at various points in the story as impudent, bad, foul-mouthed, ugly, dirty and a vagrant deserving of a stint in the House of Correction) discovers the bears' dwelling. She looks through a window, peeps through the keyhole, and lifts the latch. Assured that no one is home, she walks in. The old woman eats the Wee Bear's porridge, then settles into his chair and breaks it. Prowling about, she finds the bears' beds and falls asleep in Wee Bear's bed.
Her eyes are illuminated with distraught that at any moment she could become her furry companion’s next meal. He wears a nightcap trying to mask his identity, but the young girl is able to see right through the façade. The wolf’s eyes cut like a dagger as if he is trying to warn the young girl of what is about to happen. Also by referring to the quote ‘Three walls there were small.. .’ and ‘against the walls were eight bunks’ this suggest that it’s very crowded and unhygienic. It also shows that all the ranch workers sleep in the bunkhouse. We also get a feeling that they try to make the place more homely by adding personal things in the apple box. We know this because it says ‘these shelves were loaded with little articles, soap and talcum powder, razor and those Western magazines ranch men love to read, scoff at
First, fragrances should be banned in the workplace because they create health problems for some people. Similar to the way peanut allergies have increased in recent years, allergies to fragrances are on the increase also. In a survey of students and adults at a local high school, 33% relied that they have a type of allergy or asthma that is triggered by indoor fragrances. Common courtesy means that people who enjoy and wear fragrances would become aware of the health issues their scents can cause to those who are allergic and take action to prevent needless suffering. Second, the American Cancer Society and the Canadian Cancer Society have both warned that indoor air, polluted by overwhelming fragrances, can lead to lung disease.
Orwell explains, “The pigs suddenly moved into the farmhouse and took up their residence there…the pigs not only took their meals in the kitchen and used the drawing-room as a recreation room, but also slept in beds.” (page 45) 5. Squealer persuades the animals that the pigs are doing what is best for all the animals. How does he persuade them (identify techniques)? What does he symbolize? Give evidence from the story.
The clock tells the time again at eight o’ clock and outside the weather predicts the weather. At eight-thirty the dishwasher cleaned the kitchen and washed the dishes. When nine-fifteen comes the robotic mice come out of the wall and clean up the house. At noon the front door lets the dog in and he tracks mud into the house. Behind the dog are the robotic mice that are angry because they have to clean when it is not there time to clean.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council is the regulatory body for nurses and midwives, ensuring that the skills and knowledge they possess are up to date and that they are safe to practice. One of its primary roles is to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the public, whilst overseeing professional misconduct. In this essay I will identify a core principle from the NMC (2008) and investigate how this may affect professional practice. One core principle of the NMC (2008) states that healthcare professionals must keep clear and accurate records. This core principle also relates to any discussions, assessments, treatments and medicines that are given and the patients records should be completed and updated as soon as an event has occurred.
