The difference being that they did not have a child to want to smother as many women who end up with postpartum depression do. During my research, I learned that for women who decide that they are not going to keep their child sometime during their pregnancy, open adoptions are better for all of the people involved. It allows closure to the birth mom so that they are not constantly wondering what is going on with the child they birthed. It is also healthy for the adoptive family because it helps them not worry about what happened to the birth mother as well as a way for them to get information on any family genetics that may have them worried. I also discovered that surrogate mothers –women who choose to give birth to a child for another couple– normally do not have any negative emotions after giving birth.
They provide the necessary help to enable them to carry the pregnancy until the end, because the Bible 2Peter 3:9 said: “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance”. Promiscuous sex is guilty, but babies are innocent. Adoption is a widely used in many countries. It involves the transfer of ownership of a child to other parents who would love to take care of it. Providing the necessary support like financial aid and psychological consultation to all coming mothers could serve as the best way to avoid deaths resulting from abortion.
For example, the families of an unwed mother would often send her to a far home for unwed mothers to be. There she would endure her pregnancy without much support from her family and after birth the child would be put up for private adoption. The unwed mother would then return home as if nothing ever happened. Often times the family would never speak of it again. In contrast, in more modern times, unwed mothers are more abundantly seen and accepted.

It is in the society’s best interest for the best mothers to “make the people” and for the best possible environment to be offered to those who are born. The people of Herland are careful to never overpopulate beyond what fits the needs of the citizens, so that everyone can the get the most, and so the babies can have the proper upbringing. In addition, women have the option to not conceive which helps curtail the population.
About 1.5 million American families are wanting to adopt a child. Therefore, there is no such thing as an unwanted child. For women who demand complete control of their body, control should include preventing the risk of unwanted pregnancy through the responsible use of contraception. If that is not possible, they could be responsible through abstinence. Minors or young women with insufficient life experience are usually the ones who result in abortion.
Imagine your daughter coming home and telling you that she was pregnant. Now imagine that she states that she was too scared to ask you for birth control and that if she had it she would have used it and would not be pregnant now. I believe teenage girls should have access to birth control pills because teenage girls should be allowed to take responsibility for their own fertility and make sure they do not get pregnant.
