Fate is commonly overlooked as being the sole cause of their deaths, but in my opinion it is what brought the two lovers to their end. Throughout the play it reveals that their lives will end by their influences and actions, "A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life". This unavoidable aspect may have made Romeo and Juliet fall in love just to end the feud between the two houses. An important act of fate to consider would be the masquerade ball, if Romeo wasn’t wearing a mask Juliet would have realised who he was and may have not fallen in love with him. Romeo was too young to realise that he should have waited until he got over Rosaline before he became involved with Juliet.

Even though Romeo is very in love with Juliet, and one may believe that these lovers will live happily every after, it is Romeo’s impulsiveness that leads to the demise of himself and of his beloved Juliet. Impulse #1: Romeo is quite brash in his decision to slay Tybalt. If Romeo considered the consequences of murdering his enemy, he could have prevented his banishment from Verona. Romeo fails to consider that there is no need to slay Tybalt because Tybalt is already headed for assassination due to the fact that he murdered Mecrutio. Unfortunately, his impulsiveness overpowers him and Romeo fights Tybalt.

When Romeo sees Juliet for the first time they fall in love almost instantly which leads to killing and deaths later on. The actions of the adults and children caused Romeo and Juliet to die because of their miscommunications with Romeo and the feud between the parents and the Capulets. In addition, with Tybalt’s arrogance to fight Romeo. To start off, the parents fighting with the Capulets led to the death of Romeo and Juliet.

If the apothecary hadn't been shady and sold Romeo the drink that would end up killing him then this whole accident could have been avoided once Juliet awoke. If Romeo didn't have a way to commit suicide then he would have eventually found out Juliet wasn't dead but more so just pretending. The apothecary should be blamed just as much as Friar Laurence for this accident because of the way he treated the situation and let his greed get the better of

While fate plays a significant role in the tragic deaths of the two lovers, human error and weakness also contribute to their deaths. Therefore, the tragedy is that both fortune and the actions of others make their deaths inevitable. Human error was one of the main contributing factors that led to the death of Romeo and Juliet, there were mistakes made by both Romeo and Juliet and those around them that had a direct impact on their lives.
