Sharks, an animal that has survived multiple stages of extinction and surprisingly an extremely shy animal. The documentary Sharkwater by Rob Stewart is an extremely eye opening movie. The documentary primarily takes place in the Galapagos and the Cocos Island. During this video Rob shows the audience things that don’t get talked about on the news like shark attacks do. After watching the documentary I was shocked about what was happening to these animals and how big of an industry it is.
There is a 250,000 dollar fine for anyone who is caught fishing for a Great White. If I were in charge of trying to keep the Great Whites from becoming extinct, the first thing I would do is make sure that the seals and sea lions are protected, because without them, the shark would not survive due to a lack of food sources. Next, I would make it a heavier fine for anyone caught fishing for the sharks. Because these are a rare breed of shark, it will be hard to monitor their numbers, but I would want to tag as many as possible, so I would be able to study and track where they go.
The people behind us clapped. The old man waved them off and sat back down in the skiff to fan his face again”. The way Sonny explains what is happening seems like he has no clue what was going on and why they are doing the things they do. Another thing that happened in the chapter was Sonny and Keo went to catch a shark to show the director what a real one looks like. The boys set a trap for the shark and waited until the next day to find the buoy twenty feet underwater.
Two percent of the ocean has been overlooked by people ant it leaves ninety-eight percent of the ocean for the megladon can swim. This shark could be a very intelligent shark by possibly attacking its pray as fast as it can and head down the bottom of the big blue. The evidence has proven that there was a time this shark had lived because of the physical evidence shown by the teeth collected. The pictures clearly state that there is a mega shark out there and the eyewitnesses explained that a huge shark had been around in South Africa. There may come a time when this shark may make a mistake and show its self to the world with
The range of codes that would be used for Darlene would be Codes 680-709 because Darlene had an infection of her skin due to shards of glass still left in her wound. These codes are for Diseases of the Skin and Subcutaneous Tissues. 2. A 44-year-old male presents to the office complaining of intermittent chest pain. The physician orders an EKG to rule out a possible cardiac event.
The reasoning for the infection to spread prior to his emergency room visit will be pointed out in the following narrative along with the answers to the remaining questions. That day of fishing Richard’s son caught a large northern pike. As the fish was brought in, it had came off the hook and landed on the bottom of the canoe. Richard managed to subdue the fish and put it on the stringer, but in the process, the fish bit his finger. This caused a puncture and some bleeding at the base of the finger on the right ring finger.
Recently after numerous attacks, the Western Australian government stated a hunt and kill policy on any shark that is a tiger, bull or great white over the size of 4 meters. For numerous reasons this should be deemed illegal by the government and stop the culling in Western Australia. Australia is home to more diverse, unique and beautiful animals than any other place on earth, and included in these animals are the three sharks that have been focused on about in the cull in Western Australia. Ever since people have been utilising beaches for swimming and surfing, there have been shark attacks. And sadly on the flip side, ever since people have been swimming/ surfing at beaches, there have been attacks on sharks.
After putting everything together he was very proud of himself and absolutely admired the monster’s features because he specifically hand picked the best of the best corpse as he describes, “His yellow skin scarcely covered the work of muscles and arteries beneath; his hair was of a lustrous black, and flowing; his teeth of a pearly whiteness….” (42). Frankenstein was amazed with this hideous creature that he has been trying to put together for 2 years. Finally it was the spark of lightning/fire that completed this puzzle piece and brought Frankenstein’s monster to life. And upon coming to life from the spark, the creature, “..Was ugly then, but when those muscles and joints were rendered capable of motion, it became a thing such as even Dante could not have conceived.”(43). This shocked
In order to teach Wart, Merlin transforms him into several different forms, a fish, hawk, ant, goose and a badger. "‘I wish I was a fish,' said the Wart." (p.45) At that, Wart's first transformation plunged him and Merlin into the castle's moat. They proceeded to meet the largest fish in the moat, who is the ruler. This fish took what he wanted because of his size.
Should Shark Finning Be Banned? Every year, millions of sharks of different species and breed are gruesomely butchered just for their dorsal and rear fins. The rest of the body, yet alive but unwanted is tossed mercilessly back into the water. Since the sharks can’t move without their fins, they die a torturously slow and painful death of starvation, or many other small fishes eat them, as the sharks are unable to react. This barbaric practice is known as shark finning and has been on the increase over the past few years.
