When the atom bombs were dropped most of the cities in the radius of the blast were leveled. Many people died of radiation sickness, some people got flash burns, and some had the horrible fate of vaporizing into thin air in the blink of an eye. The atomic bombing killed millions of people. It was considered to be genocide and the bomb should have not been dropped. Then again the atomic bombs helped end the war so no more troops would have died.
"Those who weren't killed by the intense heat," says Dr. Dave Rothery, from the Department of Earth Sciences at the Open University, "would have been sandblasted to death. It was hot enough to carbonize everything in its path" (Heber-Percy, Lyall n.p). The real killers, though, were the giant tsunamis that were unleashed off the Indonesian coast, reaching heights of 40m,
The atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima Japan, eventually killing over 170,000 people in Hiroshima alone. Three days later a second atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki which eventually claimed the lives of over 80,000 people. This incredible weapon was only possible thanks to experimentation and government spending to make sure we had a weapon that would outmatch any opponent, and it was well worth it. Thus eventually concluding World War Two. Now there are obvious reasons why the government would want to cut military spending, and the obvious reason is expense.
It is widely agreed that an asteroid, about 10 kilometers across, struck just off the coast of the Yucatan peninsula 65 years ago. According to scientists saying that dinosaur extinction came quickly, the impact must have spelled the violent end to the dinosaurs’ lives. Some scientists think the answers to whether dinosaurs lost their dominance quickly or gradually lie within the remnants of volcanoes. Massive beds of ancient lava found around the world depict an Earth 65 to 70 million years ago where volcanic eruptions were common. Other scientists say that the repositioning of the world’s landmasses was disastrous for dinosaurs.
The atomic bomb is still affecting people today. Some radioactive materials such as sr-90 are still radioactive today because they only lose 1\2 its radioactivity every 28 years. So everyone that was exposed is still affected. Many of the people who were affected by the bomb blast have multiple kinds of cancer including breast cancer, stomach cancer and leukemia. From hale group.com and http://webpath.follettsoftware.com The main group of people affected by the bomb were innocent civilians.
Those objects are kryptonite, the Red Sun, and magic. Radioactive shards of rock that resulted from the fusion that destroyed his home planet, called Kryptonite, pose as Superman’s greatest weakness. The radioactivity of kryptonite interferes with the processes that occur within Superman in order for his powers to work properly. Radiation from the Red Sun is natural on Krypton. The Red Sun produces less solar energy than the yellow sun of Earth, which does not allow
He was very well like in primary school and a very spiritual boy. As he grew older he found secondary school to be a challenge and dropped out at the age of fifteen. He found himself rejected repeatedly until he enlisted in World War I as a messenger. His companions soon discovered his powerful personality and energy whenever he made passionate speeches against the Jews and Socialism. It is true that Hitler redefined socialism with redistributing income and war profits, supporting large industries and providing free education, but after listening to one of Hitler’s enthralling speeches, this five foot eight, short legged, dark haired, and pasty skinned man, could make the audience willing to do anything he suggested.
Marvel is better than DC Comics because Marvel started the whole idea of comic books first. Comic books have been made for years. Marvel, created by Stan Lee, was the first company to begin making comics mainstream with characters such as Captain America, the ultimate Boy Scout who does everything for the greater justice of America and has superhuman strength and Spider-Man, a high school science nerd who was bitten by a radioactive spider, giving him spider-like abilities and reflexes. They were followed shortly thereafter by The Incredible Hulk, a scientist who came in contact with Gamma radiation and when he gets angry, turns green and becomes a powerhouse of muscle, and Iron Man, a brilliant inventor who created an iron suit that can fly, has weapons, and operates via his thoughts. Throughout Marvel’s rise to fame, however, another company began making comic books with stories about superheroes and their adventures.
In "The Avengers," he brought the attitude back; where the viewers first fell for Stark, the Smart - Millionaire - Playboy whose superpower was in a special heart-metal sheath. Also, Steve Rogers stars as Captain America, whom was introduced last year as a soldier who was frozen deep in the ocean; only to be revived in a generation out of his time. His retro wholesomeness and good values rub with Stark's ego and stubbornness, making the movie even more humorous. These two are assembled by Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, and the agency, known as “S.H.I.E.L.D.”, when an interplanetary god named Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, arrives on Earth and wreaks havoc on the planet. Loki is greeted by his sibling, Thor, from the planet Asgard.
Controversy still exists about dropping the two atomic bombs on Japan. Killing 100,000 or more innocent people just to have an influence in war. The atomic bomb is considered the most powerful mass destructive weapon since the 1940’s. The Creation of the bomb took approximately 63 years ago. (Rodreyer, Smith) The creation of the bomb was considered by many scientists during the 1930’s and 1940’s.
