After rounding up the remaining SS guards, the U.S. forces lined them up and executed them with extreme prejudice. (Amacher A) The Americans were outraged at the crimes committed at the camp and after finding thousands upon thousands of bodies the soldiers couldn’t take it anymore they lashed out and killed all but a handful of the guards. There was simply nothing that could describe the emotions they felt. The prisoners also devolved into a state of fury after the shock phase. American soldiers watched
Why did I breathe?” (4) His belief is absolute, God is unconditional; he can’t imagine being without God and his faith. Elie’s faith in God is absolute, inseparable. The events leading up to the Holocaust changes Elie’s faith completely. Elie’s faith in God start to changed during his time in the concentration camp. At the beginning his faith in God is absolute, but that faith changes by his experiences during the Holocaust.
It wasn’t his writings alone, however, that sparked the faith in these people. His determined and considerate personality also contributed to the conversion of thousands. Through his journey through religion, C.S. Lewis transformed from a skeptic atheist, to a fruitful Christian and hero. His name stands the test of time, and will be remembered for generations to
They were told that they couldn’t go to school. They were also told who they could and couldn’t have a relationship with. On November 9, 1938, an even more horrifying persecution of Jews began. Around 30,000 Jews were introduced to concentration camps, although these were temporary. The Character Traits of Abraham Abraham was a man who sought after God. In most everything that we learn about his life we see that he chose to have faith and to be a good leader. However, just like any other person, he had his faults and shortcomings. At times he decided to go his own way, instead of trusting God’s omniscient and omnipotent nature. He always gave Thanks and Praise to God for blessing him with his family, the ability to love, and the freedom to learn about Christ's character. Today, I can look back with peace and understand all the pain and hurt was worth it, because now I walk and seek the same passionate relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
