Krystal Romero Ms. Cheney Student Success (SLS 1122) July 11, 2012 Respiratory Care Respiratory Therapists are very valuable in the health care field, and are highly specialized in treating respiratory problems (Valencia.edu). I plan on pursing Pediatric Respiratory care. I have always had an interest with that career. I interviewed a Respiratory therapist who works for a home care company, named Pam Kanazawich. What is a typical day like for a Respiratory therapist? A typical day is waking up and knowing that today you’re going to work to make a difference in someone’s life. Also treating all different types of patients with different needs such as, evaluating patients, treating them accordingly to theirs diagnosis, educating them properly about the equipment and about their diagnosis (ccbcmd.edu). In addition a Respiratory Therapist can work a 12-hour shift, three days a week (minoritynurse.com).
