CYBERPSYCHOLOGY, BEHAVIOR, AND SOCIAL NETWORKING Volume 14, Number 3, 2011 ª Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. DOI: 10.1089/cyber.2010.0151 A Psychometric Comparison of the Internet Addiction Test, the Internet-Related Problem Scale, and Self-Diagnosis Laura Widyanto, Ph.D., Mark D. Griffiths, Ph.D., and Vivienne Brunsden, B.Sc. Abstract One of the more prominent issues in the field of Internet addiction is the validity of the instrument used to assess users’ level of Internet involvement. Many of the instruments used to assess Internet addiction have high face validity but have yet to be tested psychometrically. The aim of this study is to compare two of the most used Internet addiction research measures, the Internet Addiction Test (IAT) and the Internet-Related Problem Scale (IRPS), along with a self-diagnostic question simply asking Internet users if they thought they were addicted to the Internet. A total of 225 Internet users participated in the study (69 males and 156 females).
We look towards transcripts of the Scopes trial, and other written works for primary sourcing. Most of the other information comes from law divisions of universities. Images were found using the internet as well. Research of the Scopes Trial had many primary resources to consult, the transcript was the most helpful because the arguments made during the trial gives a still relevant case for teaching evolution in America today. Citations of these sources were created using the website, Easy Bib along with the annotations accompanying the citations.
With so many people around the world entering information online, there was a need to properly categorized data so it can be found by the search engines. Google, Bing, and Yahoo the major players on Internet search engine employed algorithms to help users to find information. Search engines created ranks to classified information, as a means of separating professional written articles from armatures. Perhaps, the most significant metric used by search engines is authority; it measures the degree of information on a specific keyword or term. Some of the metrics used to rank web 2.0 applications are the unique monthly visitors, Alexa rank, the number of users, and quality of

Stop & Think Questions: What is the relationship between fluid flow and viscosity? You correctly answered: b. They are inversely proportional to each other. When the average heart rate from the Control group, (151), is compared against the 3 average heart rates recorded from the three strengths of alcohol, (133, 109, 109), I interpreted that the heart rate is reduced at all alcohol strengths. My hypothesis for the Caffeine portion of the experiment was that at the introduction of caffeine to the water flea, as well as each stronger level of caffeine to its system, the water fleas heart rate would increase. When the average heart rate from the Control group, (176), is compared against the 3 average heart rates recorded from the three strengths of caffeine, (175, 173, 176), I interpreted that the heart rate is similar to both the control test, as well as with all alcohol strengths. I did not expect those results; I anticipated a higher heart rate. Were I to conduct this project again, I would find a more accurate way to measure the heartbeats, wait longer between applications of both alcohol and caffeine and wait longer after each application of alcohol or caffeine for it to take effect in the water fleas system.
He attributes this feeling to the extensive use of the internet and computers, even though this usage of the internet has been to help him write. Carr then notes that he is not the only one having this problem. Carr gives a few examples of bloggers that have said the same thing about reading long articles. Carr suggests that though the internet provides more reasons for us to read, they are different reasons. The internet may not be the source of the problem, but Carr refers to a study done by a college that suggests that there is a chance that it is.
It has been stated in research, that 1.6 million of auto accidents are caused by cell phone us and texting, which is 28% (Pascual-Ferrá, Liu, & Beatty, Meta-Analytic Comparison of the Effects of Text Messaging to Substance-Induced Impairment on Driving Performance, 2012), as well as texting and driving is equivalent to someone who has drank 4 beers, (Bowers, 2014) or someone who has decided to get high off of some kind of illegal drug, and then decided to get behind the wheel and drive. One of the most common causes of hyperventilating is high levels of oxygen in the blood. The sole purpose of breathing into a bag is to “re-breathe” the exhaled carbon dioxide to regulate the normal concentration of oxygen to carbon dioxide in the blood. Conclude and apply 3.
