Reflection on Dao De Thing Tao De Jing is a book written by Great Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu. This book plays a significant role in Ancient Chinese philosophy. The reason is, first of all it informs us about Taoism, Ancient Chinese religion or philosophy. Second, this book is the source of teachings of Lao Tzu. And the third the most important reason is, if we translate the name of it means “a book of path and kindness”. When I read through this book, I learned very important skills for leadership. I did not only learn, but also I enjoyed reading it. However, at the first glance the language may seem very simple, but in order to understand it I had to reread it very carefully, I related it to my past experience, and I discussed it with others. The book contains nine chapters. All chapters are mainly about Dao, De and the qualities that the ruler has to have in order to manage his followers wisely. As you read through the book you can know the point of view of Lao Tzu almost about everything; from the start point to the end. The first chapter of the book is all about Dao. How Dao is the base of things and the ways to obtain it. While I learned about Dao, it highly remained me God. Because Lao Tzu says that Dao is untouchable, it is undefined; everything got started from Dao, because Dao is emptiness, and Dao is the root of the sky and earth. Of course it is true that we do not describe our God like this, but we can conclude that Dao is their understanding of God. The book says that in order to see the wonderful secret of Dao, people have to be free from desires. In order to fallow the Dao, first a person have to know constancy, who knows it will become perfect, who is perfect will know the justice, the person who is fear to others will become a ruler, whoever is a ruler will follow the sky, whoever follows the sky will follow the Dao.
