Without going to college, people will make minimum wage, if he/she do make good money, it is because he/she are breaking their backs for it. By attending college, a person will make more than both of these people. Also, a person could be trained in many different areas, ensuring a good career. Going to college will make getting a job in life an easy task. A person with a college education could take a good job, and will often find better ones throughout life.
Everyone wants to have at least a decent life style, but with attending college one can have a higher life style then others. With a college education people find better careers that have better pay then a job that one can get with out a college education. Better pay helps support ones self and if so the family they have. Everything cost money, and one must always have more then enough of it to live off of. Beyond all the necessities that one has to take care of, with the higher earnings gives a person the
College graduates are accepted for more jobs because the degree makes them appear dedicated and hardworking, and the degree usually allows them to be promoted faster then someone without a college diploma. After being presented these topics, I understood how important my current education was. If I don’t do well in high school, how can I possibly expect to do well in college? These articles were quite scary, as they focused on how much can go wrong, and really pressures you to do well. These articles have reminded me that my schoolwork even now is very important, as it prepares me for the future.
Final Letter English 102 Fall 2010/Dr. St. Martin In a 1 page letter/memo which you will email to me, I would like you to reflect on what you have achieved this semester and offer any suggestions to me. Following are some questions to help you structure your response (you do not have to respond to all of them, just the ones that you find most meaningful): 1) Describe in detail how your writing process has changed since the beginning of the semester. Which aspect/part of the writing process (brainstorming, revision, peer review, etc.) is most important to your process and why?
They do not have the right to vote, make their own decisions, and they definitely cannot voice their individual opinions in society. Even the father of Pakistani girls believes that their daughters are nothing more than a future “breeding tool. The role of these young girls once married is to produce as many males as their body will allow. That way, the women in Pakistan grow up with the mentality that they are just the backstage crew in the production of life. Sadly, it seems that the women in Pakistan honestly believe that they are below the men in their country because they continue to allow this behavior to continue, without revolutionizing like the women in many other countries, including the US, once did.
A few of these include the ability to get a better paying job, the flexibility for more job opportunities that I will be qualified for, and a more stable life for me. With the failing economy having a large impact on higher paying jobs in the area we live in a college degree will help me to get a better paying job. Due to the fact that there are so many unemployed people in the area we live it is hard to find an entry level job that does not require some type of schooling after high school. Most jobs that are available to me currently with just a high school diploma are minimum wage jobs. Thus, with the cost of living rising and the constant rise in everyday essentials such as gas it is hard to live comfortably on that type of pay.
I will review this goal by making sure that I am not stressing out on the deadline day or on the week of the deadline day. If I am not stressing out then I know I have accomplished my goal. My long term goal is to achieve three distinctions by the end of the two years of this Health and Social course. This goal is important for me because without these grades I will not be able to get into one of the top university's for psychology that I want to go to after I have finished this course, which then also means I will have to go to a university where I may not be happy to be. I identified this goal by doing research on the computer and phoning up university's and asking what the entry grades are for students to do psychology at their university therefore found out what I needed which is three D's.
As college neared filling out applications became more of a ritual, and I found that by being born into a white middle class family would hinder my financial status rather than help it. Recently an article appeared in the Iowa State Daily, which addressed the issue of a white-only scholarship. In addition to the scholarships offered to members of the minority races, a scholarship should be offered to the members of the decreasing majority. Whites or Caucasians make up a group just as Native Americans, blacks, and Hispanics do. The one thing that separates whites from these other groups besides skin color is the fact that for each minority group, there are several scholarships that pertain to each.
Coming to college is going to give the education I need to make my skill stronger so I can provide a better service than I do now. With knowing my personal competencies and personal profile, when ‘I am on an interview I will be able to be more confident on what I know and what I am capable of doing in the future. I’m selling my profile for a position that I may qualify for even thought that is not the job I apply for. That is knowing your competencies and personal
With saying that, I know that if I try hard and work hard, I will reach success. I must know that along with success comes failure. When failure happens I must not let it get in the way of my goals, I must develop ways I can fix my failure and keep moving. I also must learn the traits of a successful person, see the parts of my life that need improvement, and then move toward more success in my own life. Taking control of my choices and not being a victim of the change life is going to throw at me is another role that is important on my way to success.
