Anthony Gonzalez 13SP-ENC-1101-37605 Response To “You’re 16. You’re Beautiful and You’re a Voter, (p.48)” In “You’re 16. You’re Beautiful and You’re a voter” by Anya Kamenetz, Kamenetz suggest that sixteen year olds be allowed to vote after taking a simple civics course. Sixteen year olds should not be allowed to obtain a voters permit and vote. Sixteen year olds have yet to live life, so they shouldn't be awarded adult privileges at such a young age.
Opposed to a car, monthly cost of gas is about $200.00 per month, filling up an average of four times a month. In addition, car insurance would deduct another $150.00 from your monthly salary. The human brain is not fully developed until the age of nineteen, so sixteen year olds will not fully understand the system of politics. By the age of eighteen, most people should have a general idea of how the country is performing, but not at sixteen, which is too young to be worrying about politics. If sixteen year olds did vote, most of them would be thinking about clubbing and not the real meaning and how the country will be affected. The voting age should be lowered to sixteen because it gives younger people an idea of what is happening in politics. Lots of them want to be informed on politics just as much as adults do, and some adults don’t even have a clue about politics anyway, and they still have the right to vote.

However, what most of us don’t know is that this agency is guilty of presenting deceptive and misleading arguments in promoting the current minimum legal drinking age. We, as citizens, have to question the legitimacy of their flawed arguments, and ask whether it is right that they include themselves in public and political debates. Furthermore, we have to really ask ourselves if lowering the legal drinking age to 18 is the right thing to do. Our nation has a severe problem with alcoholism. Banning 18-year-old adults from buying and consuming alcohol, has pushed adolescents behind closed doors and away from supervision by parents, residence life staff, and other adult authority figures.
Reality is that the electoral college can produce an undemocratic outcome, even if only rarely. Therefore, the electoral college should be ended because it has the potential to be undemocratic. Secondly, it is also the case that votes do not, constitutionally, have to be allocated to the winner of the vote in that state. Citizens believe, for example, that they are casting a ballot for Obama or Romney in November, but in actual fact they are voting for electors who will meet in December and then vote
Between his daily commute, and their trips into Lethbridge for grocery shopping and entertainment, they spend $550 a month on gas. Related: Is A Long Commute Destroying Your Job Satisfaction? We chose to build our house in a new community in Lethbridge, which is only 3.5 kilometres from where I work. Our home cost $420,000, and the lots are smaller than what we’d get out in the suburbs. Since I have such a short commute, we only spend $125 a month on gas.
One main point is that without voter identification laws, such as registering in your home state, Americans will try to vote in several states in hopes of increasing their candidates chance of winning the election. This would create in unfair advantage to the candidates at the polls and would not result in an honest election. Another argument is that these laws reduce the chances of Americans voting under fake names or under deceased names. If someone is using another person’s identity or making up a name, it can only be concluded that they do not want their actual identity discovered or known for whatever reason. Not only is it dishonest but it’s also against the law to use a deceased persons information for any reason.
To drive both market share and earnings Kodak proposed to introduce a new brand “Funtime” at Fuji and Konica’s price level, setting it 20% below the price of Kodak’s flagship Gold Plus brand. It is believed that other “price brands” on average are about 30% less than Kodak Gold Plus. With no advertising support, the Funtime would be sold twice a year at off-peak film use times and available in limited quantities, packaged only in “value packs”. Gold Plus would remain flagship brand with 60% of the dollar advertising support. Royal Gold would be the new name for the products in Superpremium segment with recommended retail prices at 20% above Gold Plus.
