Nearly fifty percent of all new business’ fail within the first five years. Some fail
because of the economy and lack of financial planning, but the majority of failures are due to poor business management. I have been in management for the last 20 years, in one form or another. Everyone will know what this person will do and will usually trust in the decision that would be made in a given situation. An ideal business person would stand by his commitments and take responsibility for them, even if they proved to be less than perfect. A person of integrity will have an easier time communicating to his audience because everyone will want to hear what is being conveyed.
Another important quality of equal importance would be communication. Communication is a major part of business in the world today. It is through communication that everyone in an organization is connected, from the entry level employee to the CEO of the organization. With proper communication, objectives, projects, and goals are achieved in an efficient manner. Communication skills are essential to a productive environment through conveying ideas, thoughts, and sentiment. Using communication skills one can gain insight into others’ thoughts and needs.
The third quality of an ideal business person would be the use of empathy....
