Until you can be neutral about an issue you will not get effective pros and cons. Constructing scenarios is also effective by creating examples of both sides of the arguments. Always maintain a clear vision of the issue and allow for ideas to be produced to come to a mutual
To find the concerns that begin the program planning process, it is a prerequisite to do a needs or problems assessment. The assessments give human service workers good direction to what areas need the most focus and what kind of help the people need most. (2003). While planning a program, it is good to brainstorm all the possible avenues and outcomes of all situations. Human service workers need to be prepared for all situations, and have feedback on how well their programs are working.
Involving team members in discussion on their perspectives and expectations will help build agreement with the group and provides an accurate mental model. | Incorrect mental models can derail the common plan and purpose. If each team member uses a different mental model, this will enable the team from finishing the mission. Disagreement may take place should each team member have a different idea on what to do and how to achieve it.
Right to know criteria for excellence in research. (Correct) This right is a little more difficult to define. Because “excellence” has both objective and subjective criteria, personal preference may keep the list of criteria from being as specific as we would like. However, those who are doing evaluations should work to make the criteria as specific and clear as possible so people can make choices about how to shape their own work. Right for key people to be protected so that work is done effectively.
Also it is important to be realistic with Learners and accept that at times, mistakes can be made, and that the important matter is that this is accepted, managed and that all parties are able to move on to a more positive footing. Assessment Our responsibilities are: • To be fair and consistent • To assess promptly, within the agreed timescales • To be honest • To be innovative and give a balanced view Boundaries with assessment Boundaries with assessment are that not all Learners will fit into the boxes we need to adhere to, set by differing Examining bodies. It is also fair to state that assessment is only an individual’s perception of a performance and when one Learner meets the standard for one Assessor, they may not do so for another Assessor. There are many reasons for conflict, and because of this there are many different ways to deal with conflict depending on the situation. In situations of conflict that is created by misunderstanding it is most likely easier and more efficient to use problem-solving as a resource to solve the conflict. This means that the group or team gets together face-to-face in order to solve the conflict and because of this it is easier to reach a resolution. Another situation that can lead to conflict can be a lack of resources needed for the group or team to work efficiently. This can be resolved by the expansion of resources.
It varies from place to place. Humans are humans, and so we should view things the same. But there are outside influences in cultures that make us see the discussed views differently. There is no truth in defining what is just and unjust but we are persuaded by believing what is in our morals by following the evidence, logic and reasoning behind each argument made. The author says “and one ought to bring up the question whether it is those who are sane or those who are demented who speak at the right moment”.
Also another strategy that can help you overcome your conflict is to deal with it face-to-face because it is more effective than other forms because it allows for an active exchange of information. It gives the opportunity to observe nonverbal cues as well as gestures. If necessary you may also use a mediator to help you with your conflicts. However, the mediator must be neutral to both parties so that they can effectively mediate because if they are partial to one person then the conflict will not be completely resolved. Oscar if you do something wrong don’t be afraid to apologize.
When handled in an unhealthy manner, it can cause irreparable rifts, resentments, and break-ups. But when conflict is resolved in a healthy way, it increases our understanding of one another, builds trust, and strengthens our relationship bonds” (Conflict 101). While striving for resolution it is imperative to monitor stress levels and only proceed to rectify an escalated situation when cooler heads are present. Once an individual is no longer emotional he or she is closer to a rational state and his or her ability to listen attentively and comprehensively is at an optimal level. Also the individuals are usually capable of explaining what the conflict felt like and meant to them.
I argue when I am trying to prove a point, whether it is something I agree with or it is something I feel is wrong. Logic is very important in an argument. When you use logics, it will help to support your argument. You realize what made your argument strong, and you understand what you lacked to make your argument a success. Not only that, you will be able to learn from other people’s arguments also.
